JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Position Title: Worship and Discipleship Pastor

 

Supervisor: Senior Pastor

 

Principal Function:  To lead the church in worship and discipleship. 

 

Worship Leadership:
 

• Serve as the leader in blended style worship services, giving direction to the congregational singing, praise team vocalists, musicians, and audio/visual team.

• Plan church services in consultation with the senior pastor.

• Oversee the adult choir for seasonal/special emphasis presentations.

• Schedule practices for vocalists, instrumentalists, audio/visual team, and seasonal choir.

• Coordinate planning with the ministerial staff and volunteers to plan services and events.

• Develop the annual worship ministry plan and budget.

 

Discipleship Leadership:

• Organize, coordinate, and train leaders concerning the discipleship of the congregation.

• Lead in planning and scheduling events and activities related to CONNECT groups and the discipleship ministry.

• Oversee curriculum for CONNECT groups and discipleship ministries.

• Grow disciples through new member classes and outreach.

• Organize and maintain follow-up with guests and prospects.

• Develop the annual discipleship ministry plan and budget.
